| Message | The new BMW M3 shouldn't look like a station wagon, I think what you're talking about is actually the Z3 M edition. Which is a the little tiny station wagon looking thing. Quick rundown on performance would be that stock to stock, the brand new M3 and the brand new M edition Z3 should out accelerate the Z32. (Stock to stock.) This is a fairly recently phenonmenon though as BMW just recently (this year I think) cranked the horsepower up in those cars. You should spank the older models. In related news, I drove a friends M3/4 (the 4 door edition of the M3 - only made for two years I believe.) The car was a lot of fun, it doesn't stack anywhere close to my Stage III Z in terms of acceleration, but the brakes were a $%^! load better than ours. The handling is very nice, a very well designed suspension system. Rides smooth and still handles remarkably well. A little too much body roll for my taste, but this car was completely stock.
